SoleMark is a 4-piece funk fusion band from hailing from South Florida. The name “SoleMark” is derived from the geological term “Sole Markings” which are unique and abstract rock formations produced by the interaction of different types of sedimentary structures grooving with one another. Ahhh, yes… it all makes sense now…
The same can be said about the way SoleMark is able to blend styles and genres together to create their unique sound.
Of course, it can’t go without saying that the band’s original music, merging of genres, and in-the-pocket grooves are heavily influenced by the likes of Maceo Parker, Herbie Hancock, John Scofield, Galactic, Lettuce, Snarky Puppy, and so many more…
