I'm a drummer, I'll admit it. But I'm a musician first. It's not just about rhythms and patterns. It's about communicating an idea through music. It's about interplay with the other musicians. It's about expression.
Funk, Jazz, Country, Rock, Blues, whatever... It's all music, and it's all good. Well there's 'good' to be found in every genre of music. The beauty is that there are no boundaries. New styles are getting created regularly. The fusing of musical ideas is happening all the time.
