TL;DR: the current goal is exposure and marketing for both you and myself through collaboration.
Side-note: this description is very long, but I’m trying to give you a picture of what my goals are and how I would like to assist collaborators. I’m really laid back when it comes to collaborating (though I definitely do pull my weight).
Where I want to go with music:
I have many goals with music. The long term goal is creating a non-profit towards suicide-prevention. This requires capital and an audience. My mid term goal is to establish that capital, but that will also require an audience. My short-term goal is acquiring an audience.
How I will help us each get an audience:
I have a friend who has done exactly this, and has educated me on how to do it in a viable way. Instead of primarily investing capital for the creation of that audience, this method primarily invests in time and effort, with a tiny bit of capital utilized to acquire basic equipment. I have already acquired the necessary equipment, for the most part (the equipment for DAW music creation/recording, and the equipment for videography).
The time and effort is invested through the creation of social media content with the accumulation of followers and subscribers. The platforms of choice are those with the most exposure: TikTok and be. This is where a social media presence will start.
How will my end be structured:
I can collaborate to create music and lyric videos. I can create tracks with instruments (including background and duet vocals where necessary) and can scheme up music and lyric videos (I may need an extra two hands for tricky videography). What can I not do? I do not have a golden voice, and my lyric writing is weak. That is where I would love someone to collaborate with.
Background:
I compose songs, mainly rock and pop/rock mix, via software (logic pro and fl studio as a plugin) using analog input, audio recording, and midi input, and guitar-to-computer direct connection. I also sing a tiny bit (tiny being the key word). I'm looking for someone who can sing and who may want to help with writing lyrics. I'm down to work with any skill level.
We will probably work well together if:
-You like experimenting with new things in music, engineering new sounds, discussing how a song can be improved/designed, and making it a pure dual-effort.
OR
-You like being given a song without lyrics, writing the lyrics you want, and singing them.
OR
-You like being given a song with lyrics, and singing them.
I'm pretty chill and flexible when it comes to music creation, but I'm also very passionate about it. It's the best way to spend time, after all.
