ABOUT

Southern Koast is the singing duo of Keith Owens and Susan Tolin. We both live and work in El Dorado, AR. We are both happily married - just not to each other! Susan and I met about 14 years ago as we were both cast in a local community theater version of "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and we have remained friends since. We were both members of the band Cousin Earl - I was the lead singer and Susan sang backup and the occasional solo. We decided that we wanted to do some duets and some material that wasn't really suited for that band so here we are. The name comes from the first letters of our names (Keith Owens And Susan Tolin) and the fact that we live in south Arkansas.

Influences

We are influenced not only by the great country duet vocalists (Conway & Loretta, George & Tammy, etc.), but also by rock, pop and R&B from all decades. Our goal is to become a band that is good enough and has the breadth of material to be THE band to book for wedding receptions, private parties, corporate events, casinos, etc. We are currently looking at original songs to record and try to get radio airplay.
