Space Train
The Sounds of Space Train are a return to the future.
A band that came together just as fast as the times we live in.
The groups sound can best be described as a balloon blown up near bursting, and then suddenly let go!
The trios diverse collection of songs keep you guessing where they will go next? With nods to the raw roots of rock and roll, the aggressive nature of modern rock and the simple fun of their crowd engaging live performance, the band have an energy that is infectious and refreshing.
Fronted by Mace Morris a songwriter who cut his musical teeth during the early days of south beach in clubs like, The Kitchen Club, Washington Square, Tobacco road and Churchills with his original band Bacadat Caddy. Morris found himself writing for Gloria Estafan as a staff writer, landing a song on one of her albums ( with Stevie Wonder singing and playing harmonica on!) and later fronting and writing for Head Heavy with Brian Marshall the bass player from Creed. Mace who returned to his home town of Miami in September 2012 looking to reconnect with his roots, found his former (and current) Bass player Rob Palladino, Kirk Sarmento on drums and Kat Concepcion ready for a new musical journey together.
It was then that Joey Kotrady( long time friend of Mace)
Called him up and said.. Hey you gotta get down here. I have a drummer that is a perfect fit for you guys!
Mace and Rob were then introduced to Kirk Sarmento, A veteran drummer of the local scene at an open mic night. The crowd response was so overwhelming, The trio realized (having only listened to 3 songs over a speaker phone together in the parking lot before performing) they were put together by preparation and opportunity colliding.Bamm! Space Train was forged.
