Hey y'all! Thanks for checking me out. I just moved to Tennessee from Texas. I'm a southern belle digging my heels in and making new roots here. I'm a free spirit and I know how to have fun! No fuddy-duds here!

I am currently performing under Alicia Michelle, 'the Speakeasy Siren' with my friend and amazing saxophonist, Rick Thomas and my electronic-loving husband, Don. We are currently gigging with custom, rearranged backing tracks, loopers, and other cool gear. Our repitoire is focused on the great jazz standards and those timeless songs that we all know and love. Our passion is breathing new life into these tunes and sharing them with our fans as if you were taken back in time. Transported to an old smokey speakeasy with all the glamor and nostalgia of the roaring 20s. We are currently gigging in the East Tennessee area and working towards bigger venues and events. Reach out if you think we might fit your event or space. We'd love to share our talents with you.

***We are currently considering adding new members to our group but you must be able to play along with our backing tracks. Persons of interest: a keyboard player, upright bassist, drummer, and rhythm guitarist! Reach out if you are interested in joining us.***

A little bit about my background...I started singing straight out of the womb. I began training my voice in choir throughout my school years and was in my high school's UIL award winning Accapella choir as well as performing in their Show Choir and going on to get awards for my solo performances at UIL competition. As a child and teen, I also loved to intentionally hone my skills by intensely working my voice with the aide of my karaoke machine and my Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Jewel, and Madonna CDs. I would practice emulating every note, styling, and trick, in order to form my own style. Intensive study of the vocal styling of my favorite influential artists coupled with chior/school teachings and tireless individual study, has honed my colorful, soulful vocal styling you hear today.

I joined my school district's concert band in the 6th grade and continued playing percussion with them throughout my high school career which included us winning the state marching band competition my freshman year! Go Indians!

I've also had the pleasure of working with a few great vocal coaches as an adult and even trained under the esteemed vocal coach, Ken Tamplin! I have a 4 octave vocal range and can sing most any musical part ranging from alto2 to soprano. I have been told that I am very talented. I guess I sound pretty good but I always see room for improvement and am constantly working to be better. I hold myself to a high standard and have no ego to compete with.

My favorite genres to sing are covers - jazz, lounge, blues, classic rock, and country. I also enjoy listening to and have been playing around with electronic music production and looping. Although I am a beginner at this, I am interested in exploring it more. My husband makes electronic music and we are currently collaborating on some covers and originals in a mashup of classic and trip-hop style . Stay tuned for those music releases on my . As you can see, I have a wide range of interests and love to sing a variety of different music genres.

If you are looking for a vocalist to be featured on your electronic tracks I'd love to hear more about your project and see if we're a good fit.

More on my musical accomplishments... I was a touring burlesque performer/singer for 13 years and also a lead singer in my own jazz band back in Texas called Velveteen Supreme as well as a lead singer in another lounge/funk/cover band called Rock, Paper, Lizard.

For the future... I love to perform often and this is my primary focus although, we've been working on recording an album set to release 2023! I'm also planning to attend some jazz workshops and get involved in the Knoxville jazz community this year.

That's all for now, I guess. I'd love to collab and make some new friends. I love joining up for 'jams' or karaoke just for fun! I'm very committed to my art and I'm always excited to perform at new venues and make music with new friends so don't be shy! Please reach out to me if you're interested in making some music together!
