Im looking to start a band here in the Metairie or New Orleans area. I have 3 years of playing in bands of different types of genres ranging from blues, reggae, classic rock, etc. I am a bass player but I also play guitar and harmonica.

Influences
My are influences are broad and varied. I was raised on Motown and oldies, and cut my teeth on Blues and R&B. I am heavily influenced by both older and newer styles of Blues and Blues Rock. I allow many different styles that I use to inspire my original music. I tend to mix classic rock and blues and repackage it for the modern era. I mainly do a lot in the I-IV-V progression, but I like to change it up fairly often.
Members Of Band
RIght now I am the only member of the band but I am looking to add a drummer, guitarist, vocalist, and keyboard player. I would like any horn player that is availiable to come along as well. I want a group of common minded individuals to be able to come together and be able to communicate in the basic language of music. I dont need people who can neccesarily read music, just have a basic capability to say "this is an A, this is a Bminor, etc.
EQUIPMENT
I have a peavey Tour combo Bass amp, a string active pickup rogue bass guitar, and an Acoustic stack with head from 1962. its got four twelves, two horns, two inputs, and it gets ridiculously loud. I also have a Harbinger PA( kinda rinky-dink) and a mike with mikestand, as well as several harmonicas.
