Spies Ascend is the name of our project. It has been the recording project of myself (David) and Fred, my good friend. We have been recording emotive songs since 2015, taking Fred’s acoustic guitar compositions, adding my vocals, then layering sounds through the recording process, which we have self-produced. These songs have an acoustic feel at times, but there are many other elements, both organic and electronic, that make the recordings come alive. We now would like to put together a band, in order to make these songs come alive on the stage, replicating as many of the recorded sounds as possible.
