My taste ranges from the bass playing of Matt Freeman of Operation ivy and Rancid to Geezer Butler with his awesome bassically solo before NIB. Dragonaut by Sleep is another song that has this distinct bass tone achieved by finger playing near the neck and using a wah or phaser (Qtron+). My favorite guitar player is Buzz Osborne of The Melvins, and any punk rock in general. I have a Kramer Baretta and a Kustom 2x12.
