ABOUT

<<NOTE: PLEASE READ!! I AM CURRENTLY COMMITTED TO A GIGGING & RECORDING SF BASED BAND. NEW OPPRTUNITIES ARE INTERESTING TO HEAR, BUT CANNOT COMMIT FULLY AT THIS TIME>>

Current Project: s://tripwire1./

I started playing in high school and professionally gigged in the SF music scene (On Broadway, Berkley Square, etc.) during the 80's. I have jammed with various members of Santana, Steve Miller, Chuck Profit and Greg Kihn. I've played in front of lots of people (1000's) and am comfortable with most 60's, 70's and 80's rock. Solid and tasteful groove, I play with feeling and understand dynamics.

I strongly believe the drummer and bass player need to become symbiotic. Many of the greatest bands in the world - really come down to the bass player/drummer groove. Its sounds obvious, but some of the best results I've had playing come from two things. Anticipating and "feeling" the bass player's notes. And the work and practice it requires to achieve those results. I believe in the process of working on the song â?? making it much easier to have the ability to improvise (in a meaningful way) after getting the song perfectly prepared. I want to find a group that is interested in learning to improvise freely together. I can sing some background and an occasional lead.

EQUIPMENT

I have a full professional kit with road cases. Its a DW Collector hardwood set with Paiste 2002 cymbals. I have a Yamaha birch snare and concert toms. It's big, fat and can be a loud set and can keep up with most amps, but has warmth due to the wood shells and heads. I have the snare and bass professionally micâ??ed. I also have a Cajon and assorted percussion instruments for acoustic accompaniment
