My name is Michael Gonzalez and I'm a full time musician, performer, composer, teacher, and promoter. I average around 200 shows a year as a solo performer or with a one of my music groups. As the founder and director of Finger Lakes Independent Music Association I also curate and promote a variety of live music events. In addition I am owner/lead instructor at Ostaga Music School. Influences
Not much is off-limits. I'm interested in most genres (or styles). I'm generally in favor of writing a song instead of learning a cover song...but covers have their place (where arranging and orchestration can reign).
