Stephen started playing music from a very young age; later learning the basics of music theory and reading skills. It wasn't until he began playing guitar for the school jazz band that he found his true passion in life and he hasn't looked back since. He went on to play guitar in high school and then college jazz ensembles of various levels.
In college Stephen learned all about music theory, music history, and music composition along with learning the distinctive styles of jazz, blues, classical and rock guitar. It was during this time that he began teaching students of his own. After five years of in depth studies in music and learning the fundamentals of many instruments from the string, percussion, woodwind and brass families, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in music and set out on his musical career.
Stephen still teaches private lessons and performs around the nation.
