Stephen and the Hawkings is an indie rock group from Frederick, MD. We jokingly refer to our music as "Melodic Chillcore," but really what we play is a blend of indie rock, blues, and even a bit of jazz. We focus on original music, with an emphasis on strong melodies and introspective lyrics influenced by science, astronomy, and philosophy. We do play a few covers, including the theme songs to Tetris and Doctor Who.

We are currently seeking a keyboard player and vocalist to fill out our sound. However, we are also open to auditioning other musicians, as long as you are not looking to play guitar, bass, or drums.
