I'm a singer songwriter looking to find other musicians for a band. I lean towards the Texas/Austin sound, i.e Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earl, Joe Ely, and other styles like Cross Canadian Ragweed, Uncle Tupelo, and pretty much anything that has soul in their music. I guess you could call it renegade country. Although I'm not an overly technical musician, I do understand theory and modes. Johnny Cash, Jerry Jeff Walker, Wiliie and Waylon, as well as Eric Clapton, JJ Cale, and Mark Knopfler are all influences. I have a lot of experience playing blues of all genres and can appreciate good music. That said, I'm not against playing other styles. If you're interested I'd like to hear from you. Just want to have some fun and see where it goes.
