old fart..who doesn.t want to " do it just like the record or Cd.." Played the Holiday Inn circuit..expecting a beautiful room and fantastic food..stayed at the Motel 6 & ate at a place called " Grandma's Kitchen "...shortly after that the bass player..who sang like Andy Williams..& the Guitarist who actually had a better voice than Elvis..& played tastefully went home..leaving the drummer who also played a White Falcon guitar..sang & played trumpet & I stranded in Eugene Ore. I said to him..Jim what are we going to do...He replied..Hook up the Bass Pedals to your Farfisa Organ..& don't worry to much about the correct notes..just make sure you hit the pedals on the beat...& we will keep this job..we did & were a successful duo..played twin trumpets..He boom checked on the base drum and hi hat on the ballads..played guitar..and sang..then He met a girl...who played better Organ&His..& I started doing a single.an .pocket.trumpet ..vocal.. mostly 40's ...restaurants. dinner sets..standards & latin stuff..& some pop tunes...now I just want to make.$$$ not much interested in jams...per se...Steve Bartlett 561-722-5194..LW Fla.33461
