Bass Guitar.

Working cover band looking for an expert level bass player (male or female) to play 60's 70's, 80's rock, pop & classic rock. On average, the band plays 2-4 gigs per month. Ideal candidate will NOT ONLY have experience playing this genre of music, but also truly ENJOY this 3 decade span of music with a keen familiarity of the songs and arrangements from these periods. It most likely means you're in the 55 to 65 year age range unless you grew up listening to your parents music and came to dig it...that's ok too! This is not a band that typically plays the standard songs like Brown Eyed Girl, Sweet Home Alabama or Two Tickets To Paradise...not that there's anything wrong with those songs. This band painstakingly looks for songs that are great tunes that nobody plays...on rare occasion we could find the need to play one of those "road hard & put up wet" you're gonna have to know-em. Because we are looking for an expert bass player, it's assumed you're really good and you have good equipment. The intangibles we are looking for are DEPENDABILITY...we have to know you will show up to the gig "come hell or high-water"...and I'll repeat for have to know the songs and arrangements inside/out. You must have dependable transportation...and gas money to get you there! This band has great stage presence, a great time on stage and it's contagious to our audiences and that's resulted in a nice little following. Ideal candidate will live within Santa Clara County so that commute to rehearsals and South Bay gigs aren't an issue...That said, where you live is flexible...the rest is not.
