I’ve always had a lot of interest, from Motorcycles to Muscle Cars, to Ocean Sports Fishing and tournament golf, so after being diagnosed with cancer I knew I’d have to find something to keep me out of the mental ward. Now 10 guitars and 7 (cancer free) years later, totally self taught, only playing for my girlfriend and myself, I’m feeling the need to at least be able to jam with other musicians. As a side note my girlfriend may or may not join me . She is a singer, has been in a band and should be again.

My first introduction to music was about 60 years ago when my old man brought home a record player and 2 albums. Marty Robbins, Gun Fighter Ballads and Johnny Hortons, North to Alaska. I still love classic country. From that genre Willie Nelson has influenced me most along with Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty George Jones and Johnny Cash. Being 70 does have a few perks, like living thru the sixties, such an explosive time for the country and music. For me Pink Floyd is at the top of this genre, along with The Moody Blues, Dave Mason, Van Morrison, Joe Cocker, Mark Knoffler, John Fogerty, and Paul Simon.
