Band to Join, Vocalist - Baritone, Rhythm Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard.

I have played double bass drums for many years as a hobby primarily but have played with a few bands in my teens and early twenties and have sat in as a fill in or guest drummer on several occasions. Put career first over the years but always had a nice set of drums in my home as a very active hobby. Over 40 years now. I'm now considering a band for occasional gigs with GOOD musicians who can play, are versatile and solid! I am a solid, versatile, tight drummer with good meter and good chops and very much ready and able to jam with anyone. I'm mainly interested in classic rock, funk, fusion or some blues. I have played many types of rock and roll from Steely Dan, Deep Purple, Boston, Rush, Aerosmith, Elton John, Eagles, Guns and Roses, Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Black Oak Arkansas, Grand Funk, Led Zeppelin, Foreigner, Kansas, The Police, Bad Company, Santana, Dire Straits, Blue Oyster Cult, Doobie Brothers, ZZ Top, Jimi Hendrix, Frank Zappa and many more. Blues such as Stevie Ray Vaughn and Johnny Lang. Country like Alan Jackson and Brooks and Dunn. Fusion such as Jean Luc Ponty, John McGlaughlin Mahavishnu Orchestra, as well as Gino Vannelli (his more fusion oriented tunes), Al Jarreau, Yellow Jackets and Spyro Gyra. I also very much enjoy playing tight funk and R&B like Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan and Rufus, James Brown, Average White Band and others as well. I can either duplicate the original artists beats fairly precisely or add my own tweaks and feel that are always appropriate and in sync. I do have experience playing in bands with good musicians and have played with some bands and with some guitar and bass players recently. I have good presence, show up for practice, want to be great and around great musicians and can hang with the best of them! I would ultimately love to form a "Gino Vannelli" tribute band!
