I am a seriously f-in aggressive guitarist seeking to either join an established band or start a new project from the ground up. I am a solid rhythm player with way above average lead skills. Not a shredder by any means but I can hold my own as a part of a dual guitar attack.
Looking to create some ferocious friggin' metal! Not too big on covers cuz I write my own material but I am definitely not opposed to playing other people's $h!T. My own stuff is very thrash-based since I grew up on Bay area bands and eventually gravitated to some of the newer bands. I am also very comfortable leaving brutality aside and laying down a solid metal riff. Not interested in the progressive and technical stuff, just something HEAVY!

Influences
Priest, Maiden, Sabbath, Machine Head, Lamb of God, Slayer, As I Lay Dying, Shadows Fall, Death Angel, old Metallica, Armored Saint, Testament, Overkill, Exodus, Kreator... I won't go on cuz you get the idea.
As far as guitar influences... shoot me if you want but I prefer Zakk's style to Randy's. Even though I can't tear like him, Alex Skolnick. I'd kill for the tone of Uncle Ted or Eddie. Dark and doomy like Tony Iommi, and I never would have picked up a guitar if it weren't for Glenn and K.K.

I use Jackson guitars w/ Seymour Duncan pickups and Mesa/Boogie amplifiers. Recently been messing around with my Kemper as well.
