ABOUT

Anywhere around four A.M. one epic Christmas morning two young boys woke up to find four rather large presents; two for each. Being the young boys that they were Sam and Joe Sullivan immediately went for the largest two finding two Corsair guitars and two 10 watt amps. Sometime in the near future the two brothers met up with Trevor "last name unknown" who himself was a beginning guitar player. Shortly after the three became known as Stick Figure Army. As the months past the boys talent grew to exceptional levels and an unheard of pace and only there surrounding environment stopped them from becoming a great band in the Redding, CA area. The Sullivan brothers soon after met with a young man named Cody Doser who not knowing of the boys talent or musicianship just became close friends with the two defining members of S.F.A. and then learning of there amazing talents. Having minimal band experience himself, Cody was not quite interested in this unknown S.F.A, YET.

Following soon came the the Sullivan brothers chance of a lifetime as there family packed up and moved to the rural and amazing area of Vancouver, WA, just outside Portland OR one of the music capitals of the world but on the downside leaving behing Trevor. It was there in Vancouver that Joe obtained his first drumset which he had a God given natural ability to play just as his mother, Deanna Sullivan, had as well. Now with a drummer and guitar player S.F.A. went through a number of bass players and guitarist until settling on backup guitarist Gregory Northcutt.

The band had two quick shows that went surprisingly well even with the lack of experience and were on the verge of taking that next step as a band. Meanwhile back in Redding, CA Cody Doser had bought his first Corsair bass and naturally begun to play learning at an average pace with a decent nack to stay on time. Before long Cody decided to pack up and move to go live with the two Sullivan brothers and there family while also joining the band and starting that next step. The band soon found "first name here" Madden, otherwise known as D, who agreed to not only record the bands first demo but help pay for many things the band lacked as well. Shows started to flow in; Hawthorne, Rock "N" Roll Pizza and The Satricyon all become venues that each boy was familiar with and the venues familair with S.F.A's pop/post-punk sound. Due to personal differences however Mr. Northcutt however left the band creating a musical spark the remaining trio needed.

All was going well for a number of months but soon Cody seemingly out of nowhere was forced to take a hiatus from the band due to medical problems involving his heart and moved back to where everything formed, Redding. Before leaving a replacement was fond in neutral good friend Wesley Mason. Wesley an avid and amazing guitar playing took over bass, for the time being, and created another element to S.F.A's otherwise simple songs heightening there talent and uniqeness to a new level unheard of thus spiking the interest of record label, Goat Shed, which soon S.F.A. was committed to. Now as Wesley experiments with new guitar parts a surprise hits the three members. Cody was coming home. And full of raw passion, energy, and chemistry that had never failed he was ready to take his spot back and Wesley wanting and willingly was ready to move to lead guitarist.

As S.F.A. now waits for the return of Cody Doser shows continue to go well and there name is growing wider and wider throughout the area. Cody back in California is restless to return but currently stuck in between states for the time being, but not for long. Brown Bear, Zero, Bass Master, and Heart Attack will soon reunite and the possibilities are endless, The shows will never be better, And most importantly punk rock will live on once again.
