starting a new project. Stonefiresun at g mail if folks want to collaborate. I’m a rhythm guitar player that can manage some lead. I write songs, but enjoy playing anything. Could be a duo with a drummer that wants to be half the show, but happy to play with a full band. Simple to complex, whatever sounds good and is fun.

I tend to morph into what suits the band/folks that I’m playing with. On my own, I have an Allman Brothers, Chris Stapleton, Black Keys sort of sound. A recent band had a Soundgarden/Floyd/QOTSA sound. In the past I’ve played with sounds from Beatles to Alice In Chains. I like a lot of stuff and chameleon into what fits the band that I’m playing with.

starting fresh. Was playing as a duo with a Soundgarden/Floyd/QOTSA feel. Was a powerful drummer (kinda Grohlly) that enjoyed a big sound. Different folks will lead to something different I expect (always cool when folks relax and find their sound). The most recent band came to a close when the drummer had to move out of the area. I rarely have conflicts, I’m mellow, reliable, never been into drugs, and really like music.
some decent stuff. Amps, guitars, mandolins, bass, drums, PA, mics, a simple rack set up...you know, stuff. Basement practice area/home studio with some space to spread out.
I play a bit of everything-like most folks that've been doing this a while.
Strange Times (live) BlackKeys cover
Strange Times (live) BlackKeys cover Genre: Rock
(Duo-me and drummer) This was one of the first times I played with this drummer and we were both sorta messing around with the song/learning it on the fly.
Rising Tied (original)
Rising Tied (original) Genre: Alternative
(Duo-me and drummer) This was an original that I wrote aiming to better fit the drummer's style. It fit well, the recording was one of the first time we played it with some overdubs. Too much effects.
Nextdoor Neighbor Blues (Live) GaryClarkJr cover
Nextdoor Neighbor Blues (Live) GaryClarkJr cover Genre: Blues
(Duo-me and drummer) From that first session with this drummer and we were messing with the song.
The Remembering Ones (original)
The Remembering Ones (original) Genre: Alternative
solo effort messing with idea writing a song with a looping pedal.
Mind Yourself (original)
Mind Yourself (original) Genre: Alternative
(Duo-me and drummer) largely recorded live with overdubs. Original that ended up having an AIC unplugged sound. We played it much better, but recording conveys it.
All You’ve Seen (original)
All You’ve Seen (original) Genre: Classic Rock
(Duo-me and drummer) recorded with recent drummer with a few overdubs and actually looped the drums to extend the song a bit. Kinda ended up Pink Floydy in my head.
It's Never Been A Man (live) Original
It's Never Been A Man (live) Original Genre: Blues
(Duo-me and drummer) messing around with a bluesy original.
