ABOUT

I don't know how to describe myself. It would be best if you just listened to a couple of tracks:

Check out Arabian, and Behind the Waterfall below.

I'm just looking for another person (any instrument) who's into live looping and has access to a Digitech Jamman Solo XT or Express XT looper. (this will allow us to keep our loops in sync, using the "JamSync" feature).

Influences

Right now I'm really into Post Rock instrumental guitar music, and that's where I'd like most of the focus to be: If These Trees Could Talk, Russian Circles, Pelican, Magna Carta Cartel...

My favorite band of all time is King Crimson, and most of my music collection is Progressive Rock. To be honest, I probably don't have the chops to play stuff like this, but I'd love to incorporate some of the favors of Prog/Metal. King Crimson, Porcupine Tree, early Yes, Pink Floyd, Mike Oldfield, Arthur Brown, Leprous, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Secret Chiefs 3...

Another genre I really love and would like to incorporate is 70s German Krautrock (Kosmische musik): Can, Neu!, Kraftwerk...

I also love 50's surf instrumental music: The Ventures, The Shadows, Link Wray...

Ambient is another flavor: Brian Eno, Robert Fripp (Frippertronics, Soundscapes), David Torn

Experimental/Jazz: Hedvig Mollestad Trio, Eivind Aarset, John Zorn, Sonar

I grew up in 80's listening to a wide variety of things, from hardcore punk to shoegaze: Black Flag, The Dead Kennedys, Bauhaus, Echo and the Bunnymen, The Cure, Black Sabbath, early Metalica, The Smiths, Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, My Bloody Valentine, The Jesus and Mary Chain....
