SEEKING
Drums.ABOUT
Storm the Sun is currently seeking a second guitar player. We are a hard rock/metal band with an eclectic well of influences, and enjoy creating music with a variety of tempos and styles. Our practice space is based in Dallas around I 35E and 635. Please visit ./stormthesun and listen to our So Long, The Deep End Awaits EP (recorded at Spider Studios by Tony Gammalo of Chimera, Straight Line Stitch, and Misery Signals fame). The song Caustic is more to our metal side, Listing is the hard rock single. If you like what you hear and are interested in scheduling an audition, either reply to this email or to stormthesunband.
Here are some important things we expect of you:
- Please know your instrument. We do not expect a master music theorist, but having good knowledge of tunings, techniques, and how to configure your rig is necessary.
- Be available for practice. This means both having reliable transportation and being able to schedule at least 2-3 nights out of your week to rehearse.
- We are a gigging band. You must be able to commit to local show dates (which are usually Friday or Saturday nights) and be available to make the occasional out of town trip.
- Hardcore drug addicts need not apply. We love to drink and have fun, but I don't want our merch money going into anyone's arm or up their nose.
- Have a somewhat stable source of income. We all invest what we can into rent for the room, merch, recordings, etc. The amount is always on a case by case basis, but I can't afford to fill your gas tank.
