SEEKING
Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.ABOUT
Versatile guitar player of 15+ years, brought up on blues and southern rock. Over the years has learned to enjoy and play many more genres of music. Does not read music and primarily plays by ear. Can learn and adapt to many covers, but also has a wide variety of original work. Can dabble in drums, bass and vocals (have played all in various bands).
Ultimately looking to find a group to play with consistently, and occasionally gig. I have a full time job and a family to maintain, but i believe that makes me appreciate the time i can play all the more. Like what you hear and see? Contact me. stratfan11 at g male dot com

EQUIPMENT
Main Guitar Amp :
Mesa Boogie Electra-Dyne. 90 Watt all tube head. Runs 6L6s tubes as standard, but i swapped mine for EL-34s. It is a single channel amp with reverb, but it has three different gain stages (clean, OD low, OD high) making it operate much like a three channel amp. More Marshall flavored in tone than typical Mesa Boogie amps.
Back up amp:
1996 Fender Custom Tube Series Prosonic. It's a 2x10 combo amp pushing out 60 watts, two channels, built in reverb and switchable rectifier operation. The speakers are a custom celestion design of a Vintage 30 speaker in 10 inch form. A true diamond in the rough amp. The last design Bruce Zinky designed while at Fender, before starting his own successful boutique amp company. This amp was designed to compete with Mesa Boogie, Matchless and Bad Cat.
Practice / Small Gig amp:
Vox AC-15 CC1. 15 watt, 1x12 combo, Celestion G12M 25 Greenback, EL84 based tube amp. Classic, bright, brilliant tones in a small package. Features excellent on board reverb and tremolo.
4x12 Cabinet:
Marshall 1960 Straight Face cabinet. This particular cabinet was previously owned and used as a touring cabinet for Joe Bonamasa. I was fortunate enough to purchase it off of Joe back in 2005. It had seen a lot of use and the speakers were a bit spent, so i replaced the original Celestion G12-75 speakers with 2 Celestion G12H30 and 2 Celestion G12M 25 Greenbacks.
2x12 Cabinet:
Orange PPC212-C. 2x12, Vintage 30 loaded closed back cabinet. Built like a tank and sounds just as huge. I run the Prosonic into this cabinet to add some closed back thump to the open back combo.
Guitars:
2010 Gibson Les Paul Traditional - Stock
1999 Fender Mexican Stratocaster (modified): Modifications: Sperzel locking tuners, Graph Tech graphite saddles, Seymore Duncan Little '59 pickup in the Bridge and 2 Duckbucker pickups in the middle and neck positions. I also sanded down the neck for a smoother feel.
2010 Ernie Ball Music Man - Albert Lee HH - Stock
2003 ESP LTD Viper-301 (Modified): Modifications: Sperzel locking tuners, Seymour Duncan Jazz Humbucker pickup in the neck, Seymour Duncan '59 humbucker pickup in the bridge, Graph Tech graphic saddles and i added a coil tap switch.
Pedal Board:
The signal path is as follows:
Boss TU-3 Chromatic Tuner, Way Huge Swollen Pickle Fuzz, Original 1980s Dunlop Crybaby, Barber Tone Press Compressor, EBS Octabass Octave Pedal, Fultone Fat-Boost 3 clean boost, Barber Burn Unit twin channel overdrive, Fultone OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Drive), Digitech Jam Man Looper, Morley ABY box to split the signal between the Mesa Boogie and the Fender, or combine them for huge tone.
The effects loop: TC Electronics Corona Chorus and TC Electronics Nova Delay. Both run stereo into the Fender and Mesa Boogie
Acoustic Guitar:
Breedlove Passport C250
Bass Guitar:
Sterling by Music Man SUB 4
Bass Amp:
Ampeg BR-100c
