I am a 52 year old guitarist and have currently teamed up with a bass and sax player (one person, 42) to write original music inspired by 1970s "krautrock", which is actually more like progressive jazz rock, if you know the genre. The songs are in the style of classic bands like Can, Faust, Amon Duul, Cluster, Brain Ticket, and Ash Ra Tempel with an occasional spike of Jimi Hendirx and the Legendary Pink Dots. The music has a bluesy, psychedelic, space-rock vibe. The keyboards, drums and other instruments are synthesized but sound real. It makes for easy editing with a huge sound library to choose from. We are in the process of writing and recording songs first, and then possibly may bring in a real drummer if we decide to do any live shows. We're seeking a guest vocalist who could record a few nice tracks over some of our songs. A male or female with the right skills would be welcome to be as creative as they'd like. This would be geared more toward an opportunity to write and record some songs for fun and exposure, but we're open to the singer having a more permanent role, depending on the direction things go. Lastly, while we do want you to have some true singing ability, in the spirit of legends like Damo Suzuki, some of the recording does not necessarily have to be a complete song. Improvised scatting and spoken word are welcome. If interested let me know and I will share some of our songs for you to consider.
