ABOUT

Was hard to just pick three genres. I'd like to add: Reggae/dub/Ska/Rocksteady, Celtic, Other, Electronic, Country and Jazz.

I'm a prolific riffer; some of which I record if I like them. Subtle, melancholy and intricate. I like drones. Looking to play with folks that want to develop a sound that we can apply to whatever we want: making covers our own, themed original albums, genre hopping, whatever. Looking fervently for a bass/keyboard player or another rhythm guitarist to build layers of delicious noise. I'm more interested in a studio project but would be willing play out if we came up with some tasty bits. I prefer music of a darker more somber slant. Longing is my favorite thing to play.

I travel a bit for work but would be up to play shows on occasion maybe 1x/month or so given we've something worth playing out? Not really expecting to make it big or anything. Just want to enjoy music with some folks. If it happens to go somewhere great! If not... great! I don't want to drive around eating bologna sandwiches for 2wks driving around in some crap vehicle playing shows for maybe $40/night --been there, done that. If it's going to happen for it, it will.

Have car, will travel to play. Distance will determine frequency. Just being honest.

Let's make some freakin' noise! Drop a note to my account if you're interested in talking shop. I'm Doc.Melodius there. Topics I'm fond of include recording technique, mixing/mastering, song writing/arrangement, etc.
