I've been playing the guitar since 1976 when I thought the 4 strings I had on my nifty silvertone from the Western Auto was the thing. Most of the groups I made an effort with, focused on the music I would wrtie only. We would cover maybe 2-3 songs because they were at that time super bad! It served as a change in venue for any place that we would perform. Typically no-one knew any of the music so interesting enough they couldnt judge it in the sense that "hey...that didnt sound like the CD"....they either liked it or not. As much as I like to play good rock and roll, over the years I've gravitated towards the smooth and emotional sounds of the acoustic guittar with 12 strings where applicable. I've spent approx 30 years moving thru different modes and mindsets with my music. My focus today is to take what I feel inside and emulate that thru my music (that sounds dangerous..:). Without any formal training or lessons, I know withouta doubt there is a lot more to learn about making the acoustic talk many languages. I appreciate the emails and comments.
