Band to Join, Vocalist, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Saxophone, Harmonica.

I've been playing piano/keyboards most of my life (starting with piano lessons at age 10) and recently (and permanently) moved to Venice, FL. I had to leave two cover bands that I was in back in Massachusetts and miss playing (and playing out) dearly. I've had the opportunity to cover everything from the Beatles to Steely Dan, with the Allman Brothers, some Motown, Elvis Costello and a bunch of others thrown in for good measure. I like the blues and jam tunes as well. Anything that gets folks up and moving.

I consider myself moderately accomplished, although my music reading skills are a bit slow - I typically figure things out by ear or search the web. I also sing lead and back up harmonies if you would like some support there. I have my own equipment and am serious about playing, but not in an obnoxious way. It should be accurate and correct, but also allow some freedom to cut loose a bit. Music is a collaboration, yes? I'm a team player and enjoy learning from others.

I'm a stable married guy with no drug or drinking issues and still work full time as a civil/structural engineer. So playing in a band is not a money thing for me - it's my out from regular life and gives me a chance to enjoy something that I love.

Thanks much for your consideration
