Carving their way through Atlanta's local music scene, Suburban Camoflauge is creating an original sounding style of rock music and bringing exciting new live performances to the local areas. Sub Cam consists of four friends who grew up in Snellville, Georgia and formed the band in the summer of 2002 after graduating high school. For the past two years, Suburban Camoflauge has been increasingly playing out in several different venues around the Atlanta and Athens areas. Passionate about their music, Suburban Camoflauge pushes themselves to create original sounding music respectful to many different genres. With the support of their following, Sub Cam's fan base is continuously spreading and growing.
In the summer of 2002 Jacob Lehman (Guitars, Vocals), Michael Ely (Bass), Isaac Fletcher (Guitars, Vocals), and Eric Hodges (Drums)(All members play percussion) united and began experimenting with music. The four played music in a studio built in Isaac's basement. Before long friends began to gather in the basement to listen to the daily jams put out by the four members. The band played several shows around the local area before creating Suburban Camoflauge. On March 14, 2004 the four piece played their first show as Suburban Camoflauge at the Peachtree Tavern in Buckhead, Georgia.
For the last two years Sub Cam has gigged frequently in the Atlanta and Athens areas. Many people in both areas come to see Sub Cam's constantly evolving performance and sets. Suburban Camoflauge has thrown it down at the Masquerade, Peachtree Tavern, Brandyhouse, Last Call, Dt's Downunder, Tastyworld, Luby's Bar and Grill, The Somber Reptile, The Last Great Watering Hole, The Cajun Kitchen, The Blue Moose, and Sweetwater Bar. Each venue provided for positive, exciting, and enjoyable experiences for both the club owners and for the fans.
All members of Sub Cam are open to various styles of music. Suburban Camoflauge blends all the members influences and styles to create an original sounding music. Each musician is passionate about writing music and performing, therefore, all four members work hard to produce a creative, dynamic, energetic, and progressive sounding music. Within this diversity, Sub Cam's music is digestible and appealing to a wide range of people.
Suburban Camoflauge is looking for new opportunities to continue expanding in the local areas. They will continue writing and playing for the fans, and for the love each member has for music. All of the support given by local fans has enabled Suburban Camoflauge to grow a great deal in the last few years, and there is much more to come of this young band in the future.
