ABOUT

Mid-30s, day job and mortgage and stuff, and I show up on time for things, practiced and prepared. I have my vices but am very responsible with them.

Seeking to play live locally, either covers for side money (my bass is ace), or the right original band (reggae bass i am sooo down, doom metal is my passion, but I really just want to play live again.)

Willing to practice down the hill as I work down the hill, and most shows tend to be down the hill, but would prefer a group in the high desert.

I know music theory well and specialize in odd timings, especially on drums (7/4, 11/8, etc.)

Can read music and play, just not at the same time, except on brass.

EQUIPMENT

Drums: Dixon Riot (1 up 1 down, w double pedal), Zildjian A Custom cymbals, also a suitcase bass drum I made myself, perfect for an acoustic flavored outfit
Bass: Fender J (5 string, 4 fretless, Alvarez acoustic), flatwounds, MarkBass and Fender Bassman amp, and a Boss OC-2 octaver
Guitar: Frankenstrat (all Callaham hardware, self-made custom 7 way Lace Sensor pickups), Bugera V22 (Vox style) amp with Sovtek tubes, and a Terra42 pedalboard full of effects I know how to use
Keyboards: Yamaha PSR-235 and a 1972 Fender Rhodes Mark I
Acoustic guitar, 12 string, mando etc are all pretty generic midrange stuff. Will upgrade for the right band.
