Band to Join, Background Singer.

ABOUT

I'm currently in a local Tribute band that plays locally... as well as all over the US. We recently won a JMA award at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville! (Tribute Band of the Year!)Yeah we're proud :-) A national honor. What a trip! There are two female back up vocalists in our band...but many times the band doesn't use us due to the stage being too small for 9 players. But we are with them about half of the time. But LOVE singing with them and don't want to ever leave this band... But ....looking for another band to join, as I want to be playing every weekend with someone. :-) Looking to share lead vocals and do harmony and backup vocals. Want to share as there may be times I am playing with my current band and wouldn't want the band to ever sacrifice a gig becuase I couldn't make it to play with your band. Also having two lead vocalists gives you a larger variety of music you can do... Used to be in a 7 piece party band with a make lead and me as a lead. I'm very high energy on stage and love to entertain the crowd. If they just wanted to hear music... they would stay home and play their favorite CD. People want to be a part of what you do :-) And I give it to them :-) I have fronted several bands over the years...

I've been in the music business for a loooong time! It's my passion & soul. Started out doing country as a teenager. Opened for many awesome bands, Mel Tillis, Ronnie Milsap, Ricky Scaggs, Johnny Paycheck. (His brother Jeff played lead guitar in my band) just to name a few. I've done alot of session/studio work.. Jingles, demos etc. I was a back up singer for Barbara Mandrell for a couple of years and toured all over. I was an entertainer at Opryland for 2 years. I'm also an average conga player/percussionist when it's needed for a filler....and love playing them...fun stuff! Looking for a band that likes to have FUN...and play music! But seriously....

Delbert, Pat Benetar, Fleetwood Mac, CSNY, Bob Segar, Doobie Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, Eagles, Albert King, SRV, Allman Brothers, Susan Tedeschi, Etta James, Javana Magness, Beth Hart, Dana Fuch...WOW there are soooo many....if it sounded good... they influenced me! Not into heavy metal rock or low down crying in your beer country and western....but do like country, and even OLD country, blues, classic rock, red dirt country, R&B and even some Motown tunes ha! Desiring polished and tight exceptional musicians...who are serious...players. I sing on Delbert McClinton/Lee Roy Parnell's Sandy Beaches Blues cruise every year and do back up vocals for a ton of people...a week full of nothing but music and FUN! But the most fun on this cruise is the late night jams after all of the public shows...as you never know who is going to show up and what all you're going to do...Sooo many talented/professional musicians on the cruise and it is sooo fun! I've met and played with some incredible players over the last 14 years on his cruise and done some studio work on several of their recordings. FUN stuff right there! Looking for a band who is already gigging...(why reinvent the wheel ha) and looking to add some texture to the band and great harmonies. I currently play with a local Tribute band currently for the past 3 years, we do some touring and they don't always take the two back up girls due to cost and the size of the stage sometimes is too small. I'm a serious musician, not a fly by night wanna be....and I want to be in a band that is also serious. No Drama please. I'm not into the drugs or alcohol (as is getting drunk and trying to play music) scene. I don't care if you partake...but don't let it mess with the music and the "business "of making music. :-)
