SEEKINGBand to Join, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard, Background Singer.
Music is life; life is music. Don't know how I would have faired, many a time, if I had not been making music and singing. It is a spiritual thing that transcends and speaks to all, no matter the ethnicity or language. When it clicks, it is a miraculous feeling of being alive.
I'm moving home... leaving Casper, Wyoming and soon back to my roots/hometown of Enon/Springfield, Ohio area. Be there in mid-October 2018. I must keep music in my life (check out my band FB pg below, Barrel House, the band and life I'm leaving in Casper).

I am seeking a BAND of musical brothers and/or sisters... passionate lead and rhythm guitarists, kickass drummer, sweet keyboardist, ...and what the hell - a triangle player and a kazoo artist, as well... joking (I'm laid back as all get-out... music is joy).

A fav song of mine by Etta James is this title track; this is my shot at covering's Ms. Etta's timeless classic. She rocked it, and I hope I can, too ... to your liking. I do not own the copyrights to this song, just love to sing it! Peace, ~Barb Atkinson
Up To The Mountain
Up To The Mountain Track number: 1 Year: 2011 Genre: Folk
This is a cover of a Patty Griffin song I did called Up To The Mountain, a tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr. I do not own the copyrights to this song, just love to sing it! Although I am not African American, I lived in Memphis for over 11 years and experienced the tension, still. ...and so, the song definitely does mean something to me. Hope you like it. Peace, ~Barb Atkinson (Casper, WY)
Red House Track number: 3 Year: 2012 Genre: Blues
My vocal take on a Hendrix classic, just goofing around with some friends (guitars, bass, and drums) one night. Love to sing and belt this kind of soul music stuff! I do not own the copyrights to this song, I just love to sing it! Hope you enjoy it .. it does go on and on and on a bit too much (but, hey it was a jam/fun!) Peace, ~Barb Atkinson
