Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar.

ABOUT

Updated 5-1-21:

Bass Player and drummer in Encinitas looking to fill out the band. We would prefer to be a 3 piece so a kick-ass singer/guitarist would be optimum. However a singer AND A guitarist would be an option too.

We are looking to get together most Saturday nights and/or some Fridays (to jam at our Encinitas studio) and have fun and put together a set of at least 15-20+ songs and eventually play out on occasion. We want to be tight and super good but it’s all in casual fun. We are not trying to be rock stars.

Bass and drummer are in our 50’s and have been playing together 12 years and are easy going. No ego or drama here. Looking to get together and have fun playing music and get good enough to play in front of people. Gotta be good. Not pro level but we are looking for people that can sing or play guitar at a high level.

Normal Saturday night:
7 or 8pm arrival, hang out for few, catch up and have a cocktail or two. Jam several sets, work on our songs, focus a few extra reps on the new ones we’re learning. Playback the recording a bit if it’s any good. Then do it again until we’re done. (And probably Uber home).

Our studio is world class- large and accessible 24-7. Fender stacks, PA, drums, bass amps, room for 50, outdoor balcony, risers, lighting, recording and more all here.

It is important to us that we all are aligned as people and musicians and want to play the same music and are on the same page on what we are trying to do:

Here’s what we are trying to do: Have fun and become a tight band that impresses (or blows away) the people we play for, whether its an audience of one, a few friends or a few hundred people.

At a minimum, we would like to have a live gig at our studio (30-40+ people comfortably) a minimum of once a quarter to ensure that we are tight and adding more NEW songs to our set list. When this leads to playing out occasionally that will be bonus but should be a natural evolution of our band.

Need someone or some people that fit the above and have similar tastes and aspirations.

About Us:
We are both in our 50s, both married with families - wives and grown kids, and both successful business owners. We are about as casual as it gets. Drummer is amazing and can play anything, bass player is solid and will learn any song the team commits too.

Saturday’s are the big night for us due to work commitments, with occasional Friday nights and mid week sessions if needed or wanted.

The chemistry and alignment of the group is a very high priority.

We’re happy to cocktail it up and fire one up, but other than that, no druggies please.

We have some friends & musicians we jam with occasionally, but they aren’t fully aligned with the above description so we are looking for the right fit to take it to the next level.

We haven’t been much playing lately due to Covid, but we’re really to ramp it up this summer.

Here is a sample of a recent set list so you get a feel of what we play:

Alive - Pearl Jam
Walk All Over You - AC/DC
Breed - Nirvana
Bridges Burning - Foo Fighters
Foxey Lady - Hendrix
How many more times - Zeppelin

Plush - STP
Sympathy - Rolling Stones
Man in the Box - Alice in Chain
