We're fun loving guys in our 20s and 30s who also have a passion for singing. There are three of us right now, and we need a fourth guy (sorry ladies!). We're all solid singers. It's more important that you can connect emotionally with the music and that your voice sounds good, and that you can lock in with the rest of us to create beautiful harmonies. All that is more important than how well you read music, although being able to read music is important too. You'll be expected to learn your part independently and know it for rehearsal, although if you need recordings to help you learn that is okay, as long as you're willing to do the work.
We're singing for fun. We want to book gigs and perform, but not for the money, although we won't say no to getting paid. Our sound and our performances will be at a professional level, top quality stuff, that's how we roll. We love singing and we love making sweet harmonies, that's what it's about.
The style we're singing is barbershop. Not the old style corny stuff (no offense, barbershop peeps!), but a newer fresher barbershop sound. We're young fun guys and we're looking for the same!
Okay, so here's the last thing, although, yeah, kind of important. We need someone who can sing really high and make it sound good up there. You don't need a super belty high voice, although there's nothing wrong with that. You just need to be comfortable hanging out up in that range and not sound to squeaky or strained.
