ABOUT

ISO lead guitarist with strong vocal ability (either lead or backup) for our dual-option band: we're actually a core band for smaller gigs (wineries, clubs, lodges, festivals), and a larger band with horns (trumpet, sax, trombone) when needed for high-dollar gigs.

We are close to marketability and will be recording demos in upcoming weeks. Oldies, blues, classic rock, R&B, country, soul/Motown, funk, expanding to pop. If you might be interested, please call (804) 448-3955 or 24ktSaxman at the big G dot com.

It should be noted that audio clips posted here are dated and from my previous band. They are only posted as clips demonstrative of musicianship on sax and keyboards. I will be replacing with our new band demos once we complete the recordings.

Influences

Began as solo clarinetist in classical music; played with Atlanta Community Orchestra (feeder for Atlanta Symphony Orchestra) but changed to sax (much more marketable) when I lived in Europe (France) for dance/club bands. Influences far too many to name, but some are Clarence Clemons, Kenny G, Richard Elliot, King Curtis, Cannonball Adderley, Jimmy Smith (organ), and famous artists with horn sections like James Brown, King Curtis, Delbert McClinton, Blues Brothers, The Mavericks, Tommy Castro & The Painkillers, Joe Bonamassa, Huey Lewis, and many others. Best ever DVD: Wynton Marsalis & Willie Nelson live at Lincoln Center playing tribute to Ray Charles.

EQUIPMENT

Tenor sax, alto sax, soprano sax (for Kenny G numbers), Gibson SG rhythm guitar, Nord Electro 6D keyboards (2), Casio Privia PX560M (great Fender Rhodes sound), VE-20 (simulating horn section), but equipment isn't a problem; will purchase any additional equipment needed, e.g. string synthesizers, for backup orchestration.
