Band to Join, Vocalist, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums.

ABOUT

I have one foot in the burbs and one foot in the city and currently play in a working band based in Huntley. I want to form another band in the city to do much of the same or similar material. Our current set list has people up and dancing pretty much all night.
The philosophy with the current band and the philosophy I would like to continue with a city band are the same, have fun, deliver driving grooves, and have fun! The set list provides a lot of opportunity for making the songs “our own” while keeping the general idea intact.
I’m looking for others who are dedicated to getting this project up and running and out playing in the city in the next few months. We need a drummer, bass player, strong vocalist, and another guitar player.
While this is not a complete list nor is it set in stone I would like to use this list as a starting point and add/delete through consensus but keep the same general “flavor” of the type of music but take a no-holds-barred approach to applying our own stamp on each of the songs…
I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better - Byrds/Tom Petty, It’s All Over Now - Rolling Stones, Shakin’ All Over - The Guess Who, Rattled - Traveling Wilburys, Stray Cat Strut - Stray Cats, Why Get Up - Fabulous Thunderbirds, Brown Sugar - Rolling Stones, Paint It Black - Rolling Stones, Shame, Shame, Shame, Shame - Mark Collie, End of The Line - Traveling Wilburys, Chains - The Beatles, It’s So Easy - Buddy Holly, Little Red Riding Hood - Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs, Oh, Lonesome Me - Kentucky Headhunters, I've Just Seen a Face, Folsom Prison Blues - Johnny Cash, Little Sister – Elvis, Yer So Bad - Tom Petty, My Heart Skips a Beat - Buck Owens, Twenty Flight Rock -, I Never Thought - Hillbilly Hellcats, Blue Moon Nights - John Fogerty, Big Train to Memphis - John Fogerty, Pretty Woman - Roy Orbison, Don’t worry baby – Los Lobos, Highway Patrol – Junior Brown, Let it all hang out – The Hombres, The City of New Orleans – Steve Goodman, Dead Flowers, Rolling Stones, Gypsy Queen – Hillbilly Hellcats, Its now or never – Elvis, Party til the Money Runs out – the Radiators, Rockula – Los Straightjackets, Hideaway – Freddie King
