ABOUT

Sylvia Pilar is a singer/songwriter and actor who has been in and out of the music scene from coast to coast: San Francisco, Los Angeles; Miami. Lounges, stages throughout New York City have all been graced by Sylvia. (Just kidding about being 100 years old! Age is only a number)
Ms. Pilar’s sound is a unique mix of old and new. She softly scats across genres tasting new flavors from jazz standards and vintage pop to more contemporary lounge rhythms. Her jazzy tones infused with Latin, bossa-nova, Euro-lounge and even hip-hop beats are simply delectable, which reflects her diversity and love for various musical styles. Pilar incorporates state of the art technology and integrates it with old school concepts. . Like everything about Sylvia, her song collections are classic, and timeless yet hip and modern. Sylvia adds her own spice to the songs that ooze with total sophistication and can transition into a dance groove that gets the party on the dance floor.
Sylvia has registered two songbooks with the Library of Congress, and produced & released her debut CD album: “Seduxion", a collection of songs that includes writing and producing credits providing a perfect blend of sweet spins on old, soothing vintage classics & flowing trance vibes. Ms. Pilar is a true spirit of a quintessential “RENAISSANCE WOMAN"! She is currently working on a collection of vintage pop covers to be complied into a musical documentary.
“The lyrics I writes laced with romance and mystical nuances are simply a masquerade of my relationship with the cosmos! Music and art from all over the world inspires me. I love crossing genres of jazz standards, and vintage pop” ... Cheers, Sylvia
