Usually "stay" in NE Texas or just north of Austin in Georgetown.
Have been involved in music, in one form or another, for more than 30 years. Only in the last 15 or so, have moved from "church choir" hymnal into using stringed instruments, participating in multiple venues, both acoustic and amped. I sing and play by ear, but have no desire to play or sing lead solo.
I have mastered no instruments to any degree of skill as usually get by with singing high harmony to the lead. Was a regular in 7 piece Bluegrass Gospel group based out of DFW area, but did drop out after about year due to commitment disparity.
Instruments include, resonator (dobro), lap steel, pedal steel, violin, harmonica (2nd position-blues) various mikes, cables and amps. My preferences are, respectively, singing/playing backup to female lead, joining an established Country,Southern rock,Blues, Christian/and or contemporary group, or group getting together in East Texas working towards developing bona fide income producing band.
