I play acoustic, electric anything, as well as 12-string. I've only been playing 2 years but I'm good... Here's what I can do
Bar anything with knowledge of "caged" system
While I can't improv a solo well I can learn a solo from a song and play that!
Power chords are easy
I can use a slide (not slide guitar, I mean the glass you slip on your finger)
Comfortable moving around anywhere
I know a lot of chords
More of a rhythm guy but hoping to be lead some day
Background singer for harmonies (great fun!)
I can play tuning "up" or "down" (South City Midnight Lady)
My only weaknesses are imitation from not playing long (but I'm still good) and uneducated when it comes to equipment and all those slick gadgets. I own a cool Epiphone that works just fine for me and a sweet 12-string.
I love rock music from the 1960s and just good ol' 2min little pop or fuzz stuff. Epic 700 minute progressive rock is great but I'm not there yet...
Overall, I'm a fun guy to be around (21). I do write music if we sway from covers, or if covers aren't really your thing. I want to always improve and right now I need to play with other people to learn from while having fun simultaneously. I want to get more serious someday but now I need rime to flesh out and gain experience.
