ABOUT

When I started playing music I was 7 or 8 years old and first cut my musical teeth playing percussion with a make-shift "kit" comprised of a snare (not mine but my older cousins), a piece of thin tin from an old doll house used as cymbals, and a card board box representing a bass drum that either I kicked with my foot or my cousin had a pedal that I could use. He played a flat top and we did covers of Beatle tunes.. This was in the late 60's. I did not pick up a guitar until the mid 70"s. I was 15 or 16. I remember that event, that paradigm shift in my reality of the world of music.. especially the guitar. It was my older brothers Sunburst Gibson Les Paul '65 or '68. He told me one day to "never touch his guitar or I'll kick your ass?" I touched it. I couldn't resist it's pull. It's power was immediately felt when I grabbed the neck and fearlessly sat on the edge of my brothers bed and started "plinking". (He never did kick my ass by the way.)
Great times!
