I have about 40 years' experience as a band member and song-writer, and also spent some time as a freelance studio engineer/producer in Boston and Chapel Hill. I've written 60+ songs, about 1/3 of which have been band-tested.
These recordings are drafts, scripts, imperfect learning guides for songs I want to record on an album called "Diamonds and Stones". I'm looking for experienced, soulful musicians to re-record these drafts and fully explore, develop, and rock them.
If you'd like to collaboratively mold these songs with me, bringing your own special touch and ideas, here's who I'm looking for:
- Lead vox with the spiritual power of gospel and the depth/reach of jazz
- Full soulful backup vox
- Bass and drums that can range among walking blues, jazz, funk, punching rock, groovy jams, subtle rhythm changes and layered song parts
- A keyboard player who can play Hammond, honky-tonk, bluegrass, rock, piano explorations
