I am available to join a working part time band, playing mostly older music for dancing and listening. I am experienced in playing and singing Standards, Oldies from the 1950's forward, Country & Western (mostly classic), Smooth Jazz, Rockabilly, R & B, older rock and pop.
The audio recordings on my Bandmix page vary in quality. Some are from cell phones at live venues, and some were made in a studio. I play lead guitar on all these songs. I sing the lead vocals except for Green River on which Deac was the lead singer.
I learn songs from recordings by ear, and I can read sheet music. I approximate the guitar solos.
I have experience working in duos and trios, and with their prerecorded tracks. I prefer working with at least 3 other musicians.
I have some pit band experience for charted musical shows: Always Patsy Cline, Little Shop Of Horrors, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.
I have played on stage with some celebrities including Kellye Cash (former Miss America 1987), Mickey Gilley, Sally Starr, the Glaser Brothers, the Dovells, the Fantastic Johnny C. I have played on the same shows opposite Ernest Tubb, and Conway Twitty.
