ABOUT

I have been writing songs for over eight years now. I taught myself how to play guitar and a little bit of piano. I like writing and recording songs with just my acoustic guitar and voice, however, I have left most of my songs open to be interpreted into full band or farther-ranging acoustic songs. I would like to start writing songs in a collaborative environment, be it two or ten people. People have said that my music is as if Conor Oberst, Jarrod Gorbel, Shane Told, Ryan Adams, and Shaun Morgan were all thrown into a blender together. I would have to say that I agree with them, for the most part. About 70% of my songs are "slow songs." However, I have several emotionally intense songs in which I tend to play my acoustic guitar as though it were an electric guitar. If I were to become a member of a full band, I would want to be the lead singer and main lyricist (though I have never had any problems with lyrics from other members of my bands in the past). I would be fine with playing rhythm guitar on some or all of the songs.
