SEEKINGBand to Join, Rhythm Guitar, Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Keyboard.
I am looking to form a band of like-minded individuals who don't mind rehearsing to get really good and tight, however long that takes. Being an eternal optimist, I believe there are still musicians out there who play for the joy of playing, and most really incredible, mind blowing performances happen at rehearsal, to no one but your mates and his dog, for nobody, for no pay. I sing because there is some need inside of me that dictates it, demands it. I need some way to get all the bad juju out! Singing is the best way I know of. I have been a solo act for years and years. I have really been longing to sing with a full band again. I got the chance a couple of years ago, but I moved and, yeah, we all know what happens when that happens. I have three things that are probably unique as far as lead vocalists go. I am allergic to cigarettes. I can't really rehearse in a room full of cig smoke, so if you like to smoke while you play the bass I am probably not going to be your new lead singer. However, if you roll joints and puff while you play your bass, you will have made a friend forever and will probably have some trouble getting rid of me LOL. In layman's terms: I am 420-friendly. But... I am not a drinker. I am someone who spent years living with an alcoholic/addict and I just don't have tolerance for that kind of drama anymore. I am wholly compassionate, but I do not want my band experience to come to me playing Wendy to your Lost Boy. Mama ain't playing that. If you are looking for a lead vocalist, front person, someone who can crank out a high energy rock and roll show and not a babysitter, then I am your girl. I have two fully produced albums on Spotify:
Terese Carlton Undisciplined Fury- this is also available on i-Tunes, and
Therese Carleton Right As Rain *titles and tracks on this CD do not correspond. It's a long story.

All kinds of music inspire me. From the songs I grew up hearing to some of what is happening out there now, I have incorporated it all into my own music. It is really uncanny the number of names that get mentioned when people hear me sing. I get the, "Wow, who do you sound like...?" All of the time. I don't like to be pigeon-holed into just one genre, so when I do other people's songs I usually find a way to put my own special brand on it. I can sing just about anything with maybe the exception of thrash metal, punk, and trite pop stuff that makes me want to pull my eyeballs out.
