ABOUT

Guitarist / singer / songwriter / producer (+ percussion, winds, & electronics) looking for like-minded musicians. I have a wide variety of influences- all kinds of music from all over the world. Genres were made to be bent, stacked, mixed or transcended. Ideal project would walk the line between tight, polished songcraft and spontaneous improvs- and I'm not a snob about playing covers. Some people have a thing against them, but to me it adds even more levels of potential expression (call it the "Oh, wow- I never heard that song like that before!" effect). Besides, musicians were originally supposed to be the keepers of the people's history, right?

That being said, I've been a working songwriter for years, so I have a full catalog ready to go (many albums worth- all with definite parts & arrangements, but most of the songs were written so that they can be radically RE-arranged to best suit the voice/talent of the individual players), but I'm just as interested in creating new songs from scratch with a group, as well as purely instrumental projects (acoustic, electronic or hybrid), particularly if they involve experimentation and/or improvisation.

You can hear examples of my current projects on my "Sound Cloud" profile.. The tracks are half pop-format (mainly 21st century rock genres, plus some hip-hop), and half electronic (downtempo, IDM, chillwave & ambient), with a couple of finely textured ethno / world music pieces and one live DJ set for extra flavor. They're also mostly all mixes-in-progress (with scratch tracks galore), so try to "listen into" them, don't just react to the surface..
