Who I am... First I am a born-again believer and follower of Jesus Christ. I believe in the virgin birth, that Christ died on the cross because of my sins, that He arose on the third day, and holds the keys to heaven and hell. I believe I cannot be saved by what I do but solely by the saving grace of Jesus Christ. I believe His saving grace is available to all.

I live in Maryville, TN and I am one of the drummers at Foothills Church. I am 56 years old and have been playing drums since the 6th grade. I am married with two children and four grand children.

My Experience... I have played through most genre of music including classic rock, rhythm and blues, 80's hair bands, southern gospel, contemporary Christian rock, and praise & worship. My preferred Christian music is a tossup between rock and praise & worship. I was an alumni member of the FBC Maryville praise team where I served for almost 14 years and am currently serving at Foothills Church in Maryville, TN. I read music and tabs but not expertly. I am very comfortable playing with a metronome (I actually enjoy it) and usually keep one available in my gear just in case.

EQUIPMENT

My equipment... I have a 6-piece set of DW Pacific CX Series drums (all maple shells) consisting of 22" kick, 10-12-14" mounted toms, 16" floor tom, and 14"x 5" maple snare and Pacific 800 series hardware. I also have a Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz kit (mahogany shells) consisting of an 18" kick, 12" mounted tom, 14" floor tom, and 14"x 5" snare with Gibraltar 8600 series flat based stands (the old-school look). My cymbals are custom hand-hammered Saluda cymbals (Mist-X series) consisting of 14" heavy hats, 16" and 18" medium crash, and 20" heavy ping ride. I also have a variety of other cymbals and electronic gear to use for special sounds if needed.
