ABOUT

Delayed layered guitars give way to a dreamy soundtrack esque experience. Heavily effected melodic tones that swirl in & out of key with each other through interesting time signatures and patterns that paint scene scapes in your mind. There is something deeper underneath the simplicity of it all to what ultimately feels like customized arrangements that do work well for the most part. And although at times aggressive, the progression always seems to stay grounded with a solid back line and tailored beat. An interesting escape to your every day life or average band that soothes the soul. These collections of EP's are a good start for this refreshingly laid back bands attitude and direction.

EQUIPMENT

Headed by Bobby Badami, this trio was formed through the aftermath and collaborations of other bands. Bassist, aranger, assistant producer, and founding member David Hughes played in bands with drummer Matt Britt prior to the formation of The Blood Moons. Although Badami and Hughes were school mates together, they didn't actually form a band until much later. The two began working on material that would lay the foundation for their sound and debut EP "Empty Canvas". With the focus on a completely unique approach to song writing, all that was needed was a drummer to get them off the ground. After several failed attempts, David Hughes suggested one of his old drummers, Matt Britt. The new drummer was invited to David Hughes' new studio with the help of Bobby Badami on the engineering side and the fit couldn't have been more perfect. Now with the pieces in play and a few EPs under their belt, this New Jersey outfit is eager to get back into the studio to record their first full length debut LP. This band uses a multiitude of boutique pedals and effects. Delay is definitely the favorite here but there is plenty of ear candy present in each and every track.
