ABOUT

Updated 1/2/2015

The Scoop: I am not Satch, Yngwie, or Vai and don't want to be - I am more of a Jack White/Dan Auerbach kind of dude. I have solid skills when it comes to playing rhythm/lead and have the ability to learn songs fast. Although my primary focus has always been the guitar, as I turn the page to a new chapter I am looking to step out front as a lead vocalist while continuing to play rhythm guitar.

My Goal: I recently stepped down from a band I had been playing with for over 2.5 years. It was an amicable separation primarily due to differences in direction. The change in direction propelled me to where I am currently - Focusing on writing new material. I just finished my first solo demo and am working through a whole backlog of ideas. I would like to take these ideas and start a band that plays covers and originals with a current/modern alt-rock sound.

About Me: I take learning, creating, and playing music serious but not to the point that it is not fun. Once it loses that fun/feeling aspect it is no longer music to me. I still have just as much fun jamming to a track by myself or with friends as I do when I am on stage. Also please note that I am a family man with a day job so no worries about Drama or BS from me. I just ask the same from those that I play with.

Influences

Too many to list but my iPhone playlist shows: Led Zeppelin, White Stripes, The Stooges, Robert Delong, Fugazi, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Black Sabbath, System of a Down, Peter Tosh, Pink Floyd, Fu Man Chu, The Black Keys, Rage Against the Machine, The Raconteurs, Young the Giant, Grouplove, etc... -- You get the drift. I like a wide variety but if I were forced to pick a genere to play it would be current rock/alt rock
