ABOUT

My name is Joseph Isaac. I am co-creator and co-founder of the music duo ~ The Hidden Realm ~

We are not your typical music duo. We are a Rock, Operatic, Theatrical, Storytelling, and Dark Mythical music duo.

We've been doing music together for almost three years and released our debut EP ~ Entering Portals in 2020. We are in the process of writing and recording our first full-length album.

Marysa is a Mezzo-Soprano and is the main lead vocalist, as well as backing and harmony vocals.

I've been a bassist since 1978 along with backing vocals. Bass is my main instrument but I became a multi-instrumentalist in 2015 (adding guitar, piano, and synth) as well as some lead vocals, more backing, and harmony vocals.
I perform all instruments in all our originals and all cover songs (except drums) I use drum programming.

Eventually, we will be searching for and hiring a female guitarist and a female or male drummer as our backup band so when we start performing live, we will only have to use a couple of minus mixes. (yes, we use minus mixes)

And, this is what brings me here. we're searching for a badass female guitarist (rhythm, some lead, acoustic) with backing vocal abilities. If you have other projects, that's totally ok. we do as well (including work)

We have plans to create a unique theatrical, storytelling-style stage show so,...

~ You must be focused.
~ Be able to learn quickly.
~ Be able to follow and keep in time with minus mixes.
~ Be able to improvise if needed.
~ Have some acting skills. (if not, we can help you)
~ Play electric and acoustic guitar with some backing vocal and
harmony skills.
~ Have your own gear.
~ When it comes to our original songs, you must be ok with
learning our songs as they are written (no rewriting, no
rearranging, and no adding your own riffs).
~You must be able to give us the required attention and time
needed to learn and perform our music properly as well as
perform on stage (music with some acting).
~ You must be outgoing.
~ Willing to wear all black during shows. (with the occasional
costume masks)
~ Be ok with staying upstage during most of the show and not
being in the spotlight.
~ You should also be relaxed and truly enjoy playing music and
your guitar.
~Don't take everything too seriously. If you hit a
wrong note or forget a part, don't stress out about it, smile,
keep playing like you meant to do that, and believe it'll get
better. Just try not to mess up too much haha.
~ You should also have a great sense of humor and like to laugh
and enjoy fun sarcasm because we love to joke and act like
goofs sometimes. Well, I do more than a normal human,
Marysa laughs and rolls her eyes at me haha.
~ NO DRUGS!!!! of ANY kind.
~ NO alcohol during rehearsals or while performing on stage.

Me and Marysa, we are The Hidden Realm and we are not looking to form a band. We are looking for a gun-for-hire type situation to be our backup band so, If you are already in a band, have a solo project going, or just looking to have fun while playing your guitar, this could be perfect for you.
