Energetic, groove oriented, hard rock cover band has parted ways with our vocalist, and are ready to get things back rolling.
-!!-Brief overview-!!-
• We range from 35-43 yrs old
• We all have pro level gear
• We're all good, experienced musicians individually, and collectively.
We're not looking to get signed, but we do want to play out regularly.
And currently, we're only playing covers, but if things are meshing well, and we're tight, doing some originals is something we'd like to do down the road.
The way we play covers, is like the CD, but "heavy" it up. The drummer and I started playing together in the mid 90's, and we played pretty much Pantera, Metallica (old and new), Megadeth, Anthrax, etc... And we can play it right, we're not little kids playing 30 seconds of Enter Sandman, with a scooped mids, silly, thin "bedroom tone".
We're not necessarily playing that stuff, but moreso, the songs we do play, musically, we play them like Pantera would've played them, heavier, groove oriented, big sound, and energetic.
In general, we're playing rock, essentially mainstream rock/hard rock music, with possibly something metal occasionally.
We all have high-end gear, jobs, and reliable transportation. It HAS to be fun, and the criteria of "fun" is people doing their homework, and showing up, specifically, showing up prepared. The REAL "fun" will come from the stage. Don't get me wrong, all of it will be fun, as long as we can play the material, but playing the material is first and foremost. No one wants to sit around while someone is learning the song, rehearsal is for the band, tightening up, working on transitions, medley's if we want, and so on. We rehearse in Plano, and communication is key, typically through a group text thread, or email, but the group text is the "norm".
